Falls Church City Comment Box: #653. Bad Intersection at LJS.

Date Submitted: 11/25/2013 8:11:49 AM Status: Closed (12/11/2013 10:43:28 AM) Location (if any): Shreve and Route 7 Details: Heading East on Shreve Road. Long John Silvers is at the junction. There is a sign that says no turn on red. I often see cars turning right on red at this intersection and it seems relatively safe to do so though the sign prohibits it. The sign is visible during the day but much harder to see at night, especially if you are right at the intersection. If the sign must stay then maybe it should be also be posted on the light pole across the street so drivers would see the red stop light and see the sign prohibiting right on red.
